Lunar New Year Activities
ACCA co-host the Lunar New Year activities with the San Leandro Main Library. While the San Leandro Library provides the cultural entertainment, ACCA provides the arts and crafts activities where we teach our guests how to make lanterns with lucky red envelopes, paper cutouts, and other Lunar New Year crafts for kids.
Moon Festival
ACCA also co-host the San Leandro Moon Festival with the San Leandro Main Library. The Moon Festival is celebrated with a full day of cultural entertainment, free moon cake samples, and an opportunity to interact with community organizations to learn about the services they offer.
Asian Heritage Month celebrations
Recently, ACCA added Asian Heritage Month celebrations to further teach the community about the Asian culture and customs. One activity includes a presentation about the lifestyle of the 56 Chinese Minority groups with cultural dancing performed by a local dance school.

ACCA collaborated with the Beijing Association of Northern California to bring the Travelling Exhibition of Beijing Urban Scenery Art Exhibit to San Leandro in April, 2023, followed by an international singing audition where the winners will be performing at the San Leandro Moon Festival.
